Ms. Blanch

Art has always been a part of my life. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. After high school, I came to the US for college to continue my art spirit and passion.  I received a double B.A. in Art History and Studio Art Sculpture.  In college I used to carve massive stone and casted bronze on a daily basis. Raced by my mother, who was an attorney at law and a family court judge and my maternal  grandmother, who was a doctor in medicine instilled me their sense of community service duties. In graduate school, I realized I could combine art and my natural sense for serving others which lead me to obtain a master's in Art Education in Arizona State University.

I am truly lucky in combining all my passions. Encouraging and watching my students not only  develop art appreciation of their environment, but watching them grow as artists by creating amazing art expressions and getting to know them as individuals is my joy and pride. I hope students, when they leave my classroom, develop life skills of solving problems creatively, appreciate and respect the environment by looking the world in different perspectives.

Outside the classroom, I am shooting pictures of properties and creating graphic designs & illustration marketing for Real Estate investors companies as a commercial photographer. Personally I am an outdoors person and an avid runner and hiker, which I enjoy with my two fantastic children. I love learning about culture fine arts and spend some time visiting museums and art cultural openings and events.
